5km – Easy / medium. Follow the ghosts of Schloss Mansfeld on this alternative tour of Luxembourg City. Palace fragments, fortress walls, wooded climbs... and some of the city's finest viewpoints along the way.
5km - Easy / medium Luxembourg City’s Vauban Circular Walk is a loop through dramatic fortifications, past hidden towers and up to scenic viewpoints. Better than any museum or textbook it reveals, step-by-step, how Luxembourg was a city built to be defended.
4km - Easy / medium. One of Luxembourg's most scenic city walks, with spectacular viewpoints over the old town. A must-do for first-time visitors.
9.5km - Easy / medium. The forest around Hobscheid is pleasant enough, but really this trail is all about THAT tunnel. Damp, dimly lit, arrow-straight and highly atmospheric, it stretches for almost 700m towards a pinprick of light in the distance. One for those who enjoy something a little different!
16km - Challenging. A rugged forest loop above the Our Valley, where the steep gradients, fast-changing weather and ZERO phone signal certainly kept me on my toes. Quiet, remote, and at times unforgiving.
Five memorable hikes across Luxembourg, combining beautiful scenery with powerful echoes of World War II. From forest battlefields to hidden bunkers and quiet memorials, these trails are for walking, reflecting, then walking some more.
10km – Easy / medium. Farmland, forest, railway history and classic Mullerthal sandstone, all wrapped into one varied loop. Less drama than the headline "Mullerthal Trail" routes, but a more accessible half-day hike.
Easy / medium - 9km. A gentle woodland loop near Bissen linking deep, quiet woodland with tranquil ponds. Family-friendly, easy going underfoot, and ideal for switching off and enjoying the softer side of Luxembourg.
22km - Tough! One of Luxembourg’s most challenging day hikes. The Felsenweg 2 delivers relentless climbs, wild rock formations and deep forest valleys, rewarding effort with some of the Mullerthal’s finest scenery.
